Following clinical research, Inno-Xmart, a venous stent system developed by Suzhou Innomed Medical Devices Co., Ltd. (Innomed), successfully completed the first registered clinical trial operation in the Department of Vascular Surgery, Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine on September 18, 2019.
Inno-Xmart, the venous stent system developed by Innomed, is a new product which was specially approved as National Innovative Medical Devices by National Medical Products Administration of China (NMPA), mainly used for the treatment of symptomatic iliofemoral vein occlusion. The patient was a male of 70 years old. Because of varicose veins of lower extremities, it was diagnosed as congenital stenosis of the right common iliac calcaneus and external iliac bifurcation after angiography (Fig. 1). After full evaluation and communication, according to the specific situation of patient, iliac vein stent implantation was carried according to the specific situation of patient. After implantation of Inno-Xmart, angiography showed that the stent was in good shape and position, and the blood flow in the stent was unobstructed (Fig. 2).

Clinical experts indicated that Inno-Xmart venous stent had excellent performance and accurate positioning during the operation, and showed strong interest in the features of Inno-Xmart venous stent system.

Inno-Xmart venous stent system is a seamless braided stent made of nickel-titanium alloy wire to achieve the purpose of optimizing the radial and axial support force. The stent has high cycle fatigue resistance to bending, twisting and compression. The stent delivery system with international intellectual property protection can ensure the uniformity of stent release (Fig. 3). It also has the function of repositioning, and can realize 90% of the stent can be recovered before release, which enhanced the effectiveness and safety of the use of device.
This operation is a milestone in the development of Inno-Xmart of Innomed. The successful completion of the operation once again reflects the concept of Innomed to produce high-quality medical devices for patients worldwide and to provide high-quality life care.
After the operation, the team of Innomed took a group photo with the doctor team (Fig. 5). Then, Dr. Sepeher Fariabi, the Chief Technical Officer of Innomed, and Dr. He's team of vascular surgeons from the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine had an in-depth discussion to exchange on interventional therapy.
